Technical Support Specialist

Your mission is to help our customers resolve technically complex issues, working closely with our current Support team as well as with the QA Engineering and other cross functional teams while providing feedback for improving the quality and reliability of our products.


Your tasks

  • You do technical support assistance for customers reported issues from phone, database and email sources
  • You troubleshoot customer issues in relation to Merging's line of Software and Hardware products either through phone, e-mail or remote sessions (through TeamViewer / AnyDesk)
  • You ensure that they are available to work in regular daily shifts and are flexible with overall coverage for technical support
  • You document relevant information and ensure that the communication with the customer is followed up in a timely manner regarding the overall progress of their issue
  • You resolve customer reported issues while working closely with the Merging Quality Assurance and Development Team
  • You ensure that the work performed meets the quality standards within acceptable time schedules and customer commitments while working with the Technical Support team members, Management, Engineering and other cross functional teams
  • You ensure that customers are treated with the highest degree of respect and drive operational excellence through quality closures and proper escalation of issues

Your personality

  • You demonstrate excellent problem solving skills
  • You have excellent communications skills and are in a position to work under pressure with calmness and composure
  • You have strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • You are passionate about high-quality software and high-quality sound
  • You are enthusiastic about tackling technical challenges and to break down complex issues into manageable components for more effective resolution
  • You are self-organized and able to work independently, but also value collaboration and contributing to team efforts

Your profile

  • You have a technical degree in sound engineering or computer science or great knowledge of audio production
  • You have a good understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft applications and IP networking
  • You must have some experience in music production software and hardware
  • An important advantage is if you dispose of Apple MacOS experience and Merging Pyramix DAW as well as knowledge of the Merging product line
  • You might dispose of Pro-Audio product knowledge
  • You are fluent in English and French in written and oral skills; any other language is an advantage

About the job

This position will directly integrate our current team based in Puidoux, Switzerland with the flexibility to work sometimes remotely.
