Location Lead and Technical Project Manager Audio Products

Your missions are on one hand the disciplinary site management and team coordination and on the other hand to build and fulfil a reliable project schedule with your project team based on the Sennheiser gate stage process and report regularly the progress to the management.


Key responsibilities

  • Site Management: Oversee all aspects of site operations, including budget planning and forecasting to ensure financial success.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and develop our Research & Development team, fostering a culture of collaboration within our matrix structure.
  • Capacity Planning: Strategically manage team capacities and personnel development, aligning with both departmental and company objectives.
  • Project Involvement: Contribute to the product and technology roadmap, assessing project feasibility and resource requirements.
  • Project Management: Analyze goals and manage projects focused on professional audio technology, particularly audio interfaces.
  • Technical Oversight: Review design proposals and project milestones, ensuring alignment with technical, scheduling, and budgetary objectives.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify deviations from project plans early and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Resource Coordination: Schedule and plan both internal and external project staff in collaboration with development management.
  • Communication: Maintain continuous dialogue with internal and external stakeholders, providing support and guidance to project team members.
  • Cost Management: Encourage cost-effective practices and identify opportunities for improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Full Lifecycle Participation: Engage in the entire product development process, from concept to customer delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the development department at Neumann/Sennheiser KG.
  • Networking: Attend trade fairs to expand your professional network and connect with external service providers.

Your personality

Your profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Electronics, with additional training in business administration and extensive knowledge of acoustics, construction, or software development.
  • Proven leadership experience in operations management within complex international or matrix environments.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex agile projects in professional audio technology, preferably focusing on interfaces and software.
  • Strong knowledge of product development, qualification, manufacturing, and software development methodologies.
  • High level of commitment, independent action, and methodological confidence.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Proficient in agile project management methods and product certification knowledge.
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken, for effective technical and organizational coordination.

About the job

This position will lead our R&D hub in Puidoux, Switzerland, and report directly to the Head of R&D at Neumann in Berlin. This is an on-site position with some flexibility for remote work.
